Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how AIPress (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit https://aipress.blog (the “Site”). AIPress is published by DevsIsle, which is the data controller for the purposes of this policy.
If you have any question about anything below, email contact@aipress.blog and we will answer it.
Information We Collect
Information you give us
The only personal information we ask for is what you choose to send us. If you email us a tip, a correction, a speaking inquiry or general feedback, we receive your email address, your name if you supply it, and whatever you write in the message.
Information collected automatically
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records standard server access logs when a page is requested. These logs may include your IP address, browser user-agent string, the page requested, the referring page and a timestamp. They are generated by the web server, not by scripts on the page, and we use them only to keep the Site running securely and to diagnose faults.
Cookies set by us
AIPress sets no cookies of its own. We operate no login, no comment system, no shopping cart and no session tracking, so there is nothing for a first-party cookie to remember.
Advertising and Third-Party Cookies
Current status: as of the date shown at the top of this page, no advertising is served on the Site and no advertising cookies are set. The rest of this section describes how advertising works once it is enabled, and applies from the moment the first ad appears.
AIPress will be funded by third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertising involves third parties that we do not control, and it is the main way personal data leaves this Site, so it is worth reading this section carefully.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other sites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and other sites on the internet.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks may place cookies, web beacons or similar technologies directly in your browser. These are set by those companies, not by us, and we cannot read or control them.
- Advertising cookies may be used to measure how ads perform, to limit how often you see the same ad, and to detect invalid or fraudulent traffic.
Your choices about advertising
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by Google at Google Ads Settings.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by many other vendors at aboutads.info/choices or Your Online Choices (EU).
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking advertising cookies does not remove ads — it means the ads you see are less relevant to you.
- Google’s own explanation of how it uses data from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Analytics
We do not currently run any third-party analytics script — no Google Analytics, no tracking pixels, no social-media plug-ins that phone home. If that changes, this policy will be updated and the date at the top of the page revised before the script goes live.
How We Use Information
We use what you send us solely to respond to you: to answer your question, act on your tip, or correct an error you reported. We use server logs to keep the Site secure and working. We do not build advertising profiles ourselves, we do not sell personal information, and we do not send marketing email — we have no mailing list to add you to.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Information reaches third parties only in these cases:
- Advertising and hosting providers that process data as described above in order to serve the Site and its ads.
- Legal obligation — where we are required by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority to disclose information.
Data Retention
We keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and to maintain a record of any correction it led to, then delete it. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider under its own retention schedule, typically a matter of weeks. Advertising cookies expire on schedules set by the vendors that placed them.
Your Rights
Wherever you live, you may email contact@aipress.blog to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to processing. Our lawful bases are your consent (for advertising cookies, collected through the consent mechanism shown when ads are served) and our legitimate interest in operating a secure website and replying to correspondence. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
If you are in California
Under the CCPA and CPRA you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — which includes some advertising cookies. We do not sell personal information for money. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address above. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is written for a professional and adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Links
Our posts link out constantly — to research papers, model cards, company announcements, benchmark results and other news outlets. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices or their content. Following a link means that site’s policy applies, not ours.
Data Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, and we apply a strict content security policy and other hardening headers to limit what third-party code can do in your browser. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we do not hold payment details, passwords or sensitive personal data — which is the most effective safeguard available to us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Site changes. When we do, we revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes — such as introducing advertising or analytics — will be reflected here before the change takes effect, not after. The current version is always the one published at https://aipress.blog/privacy-policy/.
